COMMENTS (as you can see are being made on the announcement) are allowed to be made but are supposedly curated, meaning only those the mods approve of will appear and those they don't will never see the light of day. Though I'm beginning to doubt this claim.
Actual POSTS (see right) are outright banned right now, you cannot make them at all. The newest post was from 4 hours ago and it was this announcement.
What's really telling about this is they did this immediately, there were not deleted posts after that announcementw was posted which caused them to close the reddit, which means they KNEW BEFORE THEY MADE THE ANNOUNEMENT that people would hate it and removed the post function before people could object.
