EN to JP ratio for today:
LOL I dunno, I stopped counting after 2 hours
BUT I did count the first 2 hours, and I watched the full stream, so I can give that data and my opinion about everything:
They spoke English for (approximately) 14 MINUTES IN THE FIRST 2 HOURS. That means that 1/10 of the first 2 hours of the stream were in English. And the rest of the stream? From what I saw (heard?) they didn't really diverge that much, they spoke more or less the same amount of English as in the first 2 hours (1/10, or 6 minutes every hour). They DID have some long periods (30+ minutes) where they didn't say a single sentence in English, but that only happened when they were near JP members. They also had some """long""" periods (5 minutes) where they talked almost exclusively in English.
So yeah, the FINAL RESULT:
(aproximately) 1/10 of the stream was in English, so that's 10% of the stream. As a comparation, they spoke in English for 4 minutes in the 2nd ARK stream (the stream was 4+ hours long), only 2% of the stream.
My thoughts:
They surpassed my expectations in the worst way possible. I swear to God, this is some kind of monkey's paw type of bullshit...
I originally said that I wanted them to speak English for at least 1/10 of the stream, but I said that because I expected the chat to be filled with JPs. I wanted them to speak a bit of English just to throw a bone at the EN viewers in chat, BUT as we all saw today, the chat was full of EN comments, and that changes things. A LOT.
So yeah... the chat being full of ENs changed everything. My opinion about it is nothing original or new, so I won't go really deep into it, other anons already did that for me. They should have talked more in English when they were talking to chat. Most of those viewers speak English but don't know JP, so the logical and reasonable thing to do was to speak in English. That's it.
I hope they speak more English in future streams if the EN to JP viewer ratio is as brutal as today.
The stream was fine, it was fun, not as fun as a EN stream, but it was okay for a JP stream.
I'll watch tomorrow's GTA stream, but I'm not planning on counting the seconds of spoken English and I won't shitpost (you may consider this post a "shitpost" but I don't)
