>>80289027>>80289094Scott was an underappreciated game dev prior to FNAF 1. Ironically, he never made the game as streamerbait but did it as a way to pass the time while learning how to implement new game mechanics. He made FNAF 1 specifically to learn how to balance energy consumption in a game and to attempt intuitive (unspoken) game mechanics. This is why the FNAF series is so mechanically satisfying to play -- despite how it looks, most of the mainline games are a series of knowledge checks to prevent the Jack in the Box from popping. It was never meant to be "scary", but suspenseful, and it succeeds handily in doing that.
Scott kinda hates FNAF though and during the peak of the series he'd intentionally fuck with his lorefagging fans.
I wish he would remake The Desolate hope as that was his baby at the time (and it wasn't well received despite how mechanically AMAZING it was)
