scam feature on twitch called hype train, that, once started, gains levels by streamer getting subs and donations and resets if the threshold is not reached in time. I think it gives emotes to the chatters depending on the level but nobody really gives a fuck about those.
Now apparently there is a special type of it that gives a golden kappa emote. Kappa was one of the most popular classic twitch emotes, and golden variant used to be given to a random user for a day, so seeing one in chat was a rare event on its own.
