In the film The Irishman by Martin Scorsese, hitman Frank Sheeran played by Robert DeNiro claims that he took a plane across the country to assassinate union boss Jimmy Hoffa(Al Pacino) and then took a plane back across the country in the same day to go back home for some kind of wedding. All the investigators of note have called bullshit and that Sheeran is covering up for what really happened but this is officially the accepted story by the American government.
