This leads to some awkward moments where she has to 'put her foot down' calmly and there's a second or two of awkwardness and the stream continues. It's not that she doesn't know how to deal with chat, I don't think chat knows how to deal with her. She's the perfect GFE zatsu streamer and does a fucking good job of making you feel special, even if you are one among hundreds or a thousand. This obviously makes a lot of anons catch feelings and their parasocial perceptions become warped. They get the idea that they should allowed to control Shiina in some pseudo-psychosexual way, so they go apeshit when Shiina does things that are overly lewd for her. (I.E commissioning NSFW animation, talking too much about lewd things, etc). On the other side of the coin there are people who can't stand how bad she is at games, or a lot of tasks. I suspect those people are particularly interested in taking back whatever control they lost in their life. They spend a lot of time actually trying to make Shiina feel bad about her streams and her content. She's had a few times where she's had to tweet or straight up appeal to chat in the middle of stream to be nicer.
Those two groups of people, the pseudo-psychosexual wannabe owners, and the people who can't stand the lack of control in their own life, really just stick to Shiina like a god damn magnet because she's so nice and sees them as customers. She wants to be good at her job like any other hostess. So inadvertently when people begin to dig up some dirt about the before times, or complain about how Shiina is being too modest or not modest enough, the ultimate conclusion for the antis is "Scammer." They like to deflect with some nonsense about how Shiina should just *know* not to do the thing that supposedly hurts the feelings of the insecure fake-fan, but they forget entirely the nature of the relationship between streamer and viewer.
It's impossible to overstate how stupid one has to be to go to a HOSTESS for attention and then cry when that person doesn't do what they want. This is basically the same thing. Except with this community, people want to do everything they can to bring Shiina down. It's likely because they can't stand to see the success of a woman who isn't some sexual object they can control in one way or another. There's a lot of spins about
