>>72005099I don't think giving her the money would have accomplished anything besides rewarding her behavior, goals still would have been unfulfilled and Idol would still be on the hook for refunds. Until the day comes when Idol refuses to refund donothons in situations like this, I don't really have any particular reason to distrust them more than I already would distrust the individual girls too.
That said, between this and the Yuko quagmire where I'm sure they're desperately trying to get her do her job too, I really really really hope Idol is very careful with donothon goal selection in the future, because I don't see them ever killing the meme itself. Pochi and Yuko had by far the most "shit nigger what were you thinking" ambitious goals, and it's clear at this point that they're much better off promising shit that can actually be finished in a reasonable time frame.

>>72005962Same, I don't understand it either. Part of me wonders and treads into pure rrat territory, if she isn't dressing up some other kind of change with evocative "muh freedom" language. The first thing my mind goes to is something related to donothons, that tries to make talents liable or penalized in some way if they bail or fuck up before the donothon is resolved and Idol is forced to refund, like they did with Riro's. But that's assuming a level of malice that she actually planned in advance to pump and dump everyone with the second donothon and I'm not comfortable with that level of reach, currently.
