Roughly half a year ago, an attempt was made to maintain EN and JP fanbases in this thread to promote slightly more activity and a bit more discussion. The goal was, after essentially years of isolation, to keep the general a bit more active, promote some healthy exchange and to discover more asmr vtubers.
This goal, has mostly failed.
There are inherent differences between the two fanbases in terms of interests and mentality which aren't compatible. Looking at the catalog, it is also rather common for most interest groups to divide into 2 generals with one maintaining a JP-centric fanbase with the other being more EN focused. Such splits have happened multiple times already with the vast majority of generals on the catalog being divided like this.
I believe the time has come to follow suit.
While I am still thinking about what to write into the OP, it would probably for the best to call it Western asmr vtuber general, to highlight the difference in style between Eastern and Western asmr, as the latter usually comes with some role-playing or soft talking while the former likes to focus on trigger variety. It also gives us some leeway in terms of language so the Western thread can talk about French or Spanish vtubers too for instance.
Any suggestions on what the OP template should be like are welcome. Someone earlier suggested to call it /tingles/, which seems decent, so that one will likely be used.
