>>52172558There is no use of fussing over the what would be of this islands, i unironically love it and feel a bit patriotic...just a bit towards it but history is a cruel mistress and going by the "ifs" of the 40s,80s and 90s without marcos or any godless kleptocrat brainwashing their individual fiefdoms/Province the country would have became a tiger but no that country is doomed to be vassal of whichever power exist in Southeast asia if at all exist in a century from now.
Its hard not to be a doomer if one of the few trustworthy institution in your country is the Catholic Church.
