Just as the Germans kept the jews in concentration camps, the Americans did the same to Japanese and a good number of Germans as well.
>Initially, allied propaganda claimed that all 22 concentration camps were "death camps" however, the Americans inspected them and found zero evidence of a mass murder operation. ONLY the 6 camps in the Soviet occupation zone in the East, where inspections were banned, are still claimed to be "death camps".
