anyone here ever thought wanting to work with their idol oshi with their idol careers? ive always thought its going to be a fun thing until..
i have an uncle who ever since he was a kid was enamored to an actress who's also a recording artist, she's not just any singer, shes considered a superstar and a national artist. he saw her from a tv show and listened to her in radio almost everytime he got an opportunity, but the family was really poor back then and only sold bottles, so he had to watch from neighbors or shops. well decades skip and after working so hard, he somehow managed to climb up the hierarchy of the official fan club of her and became the president. he literally gets to work with her and even give advice and stuff like that... he should be enjoying it.
but nowadays he just gets stressed, his idol is pretty much a pain to deal with, she's apparently really prideful, she gets mad when no one cheers for her on stage, so far that she hires her own staff to cheer for her, she goes on charity events mainly for clout, she doesnt even pay her staffs properly, she doesnt have a good relationship with her family, she even called my uncle for help just to move all her physical trophies and awards to his house because it was getting cramped. she gets pissy that the newer generation doesn't enjoy her movies or songs. she's 70 now, and the people who even gets excited over her are old people or people the same age as my uncle who is in his 60s. but even all this then, his room is still full of CDs, Cassette tapes, VHS tapes filled with her songs, movies and even documentaries and media players. i just cant help feel bad for him.
