>>37956718It really helps that Reine is experienced enough to tell if her sound is good, or in which direction it may be adjusted. However, it's hard for anyone to measure their own voice, especially when volume for herself and volume for stream are mismatched.
>>37956990Exactly this. I'd say, it's something even Reine should acknowledge at some point: when she opens someone else's stream and sound is ideal for her, it doesn't really mean good sounding for the most of their target audience.
The first key is stability. For example, I always put Reine VODs rolling at night to have good dreams, and the very last thing I would like to experience is abruptly loud BGM.
One more bad thing is relying on YouTube autoplay, imagine what happens if it suddenly picks Ollie stream. The second thing is universality. Worldwide livestreams are not ASMR and not songs where you can tell people to get proper devices. Viewers are expected to be in bed, in bath or even in public transport on phone speaker.
I once had to watch barely audible Reine while being one of the judges on beauty contest in my city. In 99% cases, when 80% people say the audio is good and 20% say loud BGM, it means BGM can be lowered so it becomes good for 98% people. Resulting in 2% with really unusual setup, and additional 10% schizos who just can't accept "Reine ignoring their opinion that it was good initially".
And the third thing is >us. What people must finally learn is to never ever try to "one guy" Reine if she constantly discards their opinions or if it's not in line with volume she usually sets in the end. Equalizer is a thing, they should give up and fix the sound on their end instead of irritating Reine or stacking grudges for her.
