This is despite whatever more negative feelings she may have towards that process or what she might feel for a non-Chinese man. It's a sunk cost. Of course, she can just prefer Chinese men which is fine. That's just how it goes sometimes. Though she does like Nightwing/Dick Grayson. So maybe her more basic preference, at least physically, is pale guys with dark hair.
