The current system works, but I don't see any way around needing rotation at some point. People need to feel that responsibility isn't on them, or they'd be likely to always try to respond to shit in chat instead of enjoying their oshi, and given that this hobby is full of (well-meaning) autists, any one individual having a long-standing seat seems like a recipe for eventual drama.
