>>41713978not veleck and i don't want to get fired up on this subject because it's very dear to me but wow's been a shambling corpse for ages now. the lore's been trampled to shit and i know that >lore in a mmo game shouldn't be important but WC3 had heaps of great worldbuilding and some fairly interesting characters that instantly lost their appeal once they got shoved into WoW and factions have been shuffled and mangled just to fit into the two faction system (forsaken, blood elves, night elves). the gameplay that started out as casual friendly got grinded down into pure number autism because that's what the devs enabled by focusing on raids as end game content, number autism which wasn't even needed because wow has always been one of the easier mmorpgs out there. the only reason it's still alive is because europeans suffer from stockholm syndrome and don't realize how fucking bad it is
i'm not going to write a dissertation on it because i could but i fucking despise modern wow and all that i represents because it's a completely different game skinwalking as my favorite childhood series
