(((TEA AUTISM)))
It's about that time again for another morning Nowa stream, so i'm busting out another tea review.
Tea - 2007 xiaguan "Holy Flame" raw puer
6g of leaf brewed in a 100 ml gaiwan brewed @ 100 degrees celsius
10 second wash with 5-7 second steeps
Got a nice 2007 raw puer here. Apparently it was dry stored in Guangzhou until 2011, off the bat the dry leaf smells woody as well as sort of spicy? It also has some nice smoky undertones. The wet leafs aroma kind of surprised me, it has a that very characteristic aged smell with some camphor-y notes and smoke. A cup of this stuff tasted like aged wood with some creamy undertones, almost no astringency and a spicy finish. It's almost tobacco-y. (not that i would know what tobacco tastes like ahaha)
Delicious comfy aged tea that would go great with some classic literature.
