>>21950981Nijis consistently pump out creative content inbetween lazy content though. There's a lot like Chihiro that just do the same shit every day but there's also ones like Mito or Noraneko or Pomu who try their best to push new stream ideas and resent the idea of stagnancy.
Hololive just doesn't have anyone like that. At best they have Fubuki but she hasn't done anything creative in almost a year due to burn out.
I wish people would stop pretending Hololive's stagnancy is representative of the entire vtubing scene. Indies and 2view corpos are grinding it out everyday trying to push innovative content that gets them new viewers while Holos play Minecraft and make tier lists. Nijis plan out elaborate sketch comedy routines like Rosemi's while Holos have a month long Elden Ring and Vampire Survivors marathon.
If you want creative content just stop watching Hololive. This isn't even an insult on Hololive it's just an objective truth of any media that the most popular will be the most stagnant as they're afraid of losing market influence if they branch out and potentially offend someone. When I want to see something cool I'll watch Nijisanji or Phase Connect or indies. When I just want to eat instant ramen while watching a comfy stream I'll put on Laplus playing the new Kirby game, 0 creativity involved but it's easy to digest and still enjoyable when nothing else is on.
That's basically Hololive's current role in the industry, just being something you can always go back to because they'll always be doing the same thing when you get bored of everyone else or just want something relaxing. Looking to them for creativity is like complaining that late night TV hosts are boring and derivative when that's the entire fucking point.
