Sure, if you play to make good deals then what you say is probably the right way of thinking, but if you play to climb the leaderboard you have to play differently. If you want to climb you have to make your networth bigger, networth is liquids+value of all your coins, so the only ways to change your networth is by dividends and the change in price of the coins you own. Liquids neither go down or up if you don't sell, they aren't affected by the market and don't generate revenue, coins on the other hand are affected by the market, they change in price continuously and generate revenue with dividends. In nasfaq most of the times every dip will always be bought back to it's pre-adjustement price or even higher, meaning that having as many coins as possible is making your networth bigger thanks to positive price changes but if you don't spend your liquids then your networth is stagnating or growing at a slower rate than the others, meaning you're actually underperforming them even though you are making the right choice. I should still research a bit more into this and run some numbers.
