>>84960283It's actually really good because it was after playing around for a bit they committed to boss fights. Repelled the Stains (for now) and found out the king was trapped by something larger than him. That's the base synopsis.
There's a lot of places you can take the story but PERSONALLY I would focus on saving Libestal because all powerful characters get balanced pretty quickly when they need to protect small marshmallow people and while fighting the big bad is cool most people that play RPGs enjoy the post credits where you see everyone you met along the way happy and healthy. So their escape should culminate with leaving everyone in town happy too. Maybe they can even bring a happy king back?
