Does it ever bother you to think about the idea that you could have had a girl like Mumei in your high school or college classes and you wouldn't have even known? Mumei is basically a ghost in public that doesn't talk, dresses very subtly and never openly displays anything relating to her hobbies or interests on her person.
Literally any shy girl you've ever seen sitting in the back of one of your classes could have been a Mumei. That girl you passed while walking around at a convivence store or grocery store could have been a Mumei. That girl walking her dog could have been a Mumei.
You could have met dozens of girls like, 80% as cute as Mumei in your life and you'd never even know because the only way to get to know someone that shy is to either get lucky and have circumstances push you together or just have the charisma and determination to talk to dozens and dozens of girls and play the odds.
In another timeline you could have met one of those Mumeis and have spent years together by now. That thought messes me up.
