Apparently regency clothing became popular because of napoleons wife the empress. She popularized the iconic lightweight dress which was not the norm at all. The dresses before were heavy and had many layers. She started wearing those light dresses and it spread throughout Europe and was very popular in England. Which is weird because they were at war. C'est la vie. Would you wear those dresses? I think they look good. Would you wear those dresses everyday? I think the modern day cottage core/trad wife dresses are comparable. Theyre pretty much the same thing. Do you like those? I think they're great. More women should wear them. We dont just have to wait for midsommar. Nerissa misommar outfit when?
