1. Building a bigger platform. This goal serves multiple other goals and the best way to achieve anything is break down in to smaller objectives. Building a platform seems to be achieved by putting yourself out there on different sites so I'm on twitch more than I used to be.
2. Create a positive, supportive community. For a few years back when I was primarily on youtube that was the reality. Building that again just means carving out a corner of the internet and put myself in a position to set the tone.
3. Help others navigate the tough internal conflicts no one's apparently equipped us for. People have trouble exchanging contrasting ideas because we've lost faith in discourse. It's really had to figure stuff out if you can't ask others for help, especially if they don't echo your own thinking. So I am pretty interested in talking to chat and learning about their experiences. Even just listening probably helps.
4. Have fun. I love games so it's always a joy to share them with others. I really like sharing weird fringe stuff like supernatural theories and conspiracies but I think I've got a pretty even take on it. So hopefully that inspires people to enjoy themselves and be rediscover their curiosity.
As you can see the goals feed in to each other but that's the broad strokes. It felt good when I could offer constructive insights to others on youtube and hear from others how it helped them. It's really nice to know I can do that. If I can figure out how to make that what I do for the rest of my life, I think that would make me happy.
Streaming is pretty relaxed and accessible for people, so I figure "Why not be a vtuber?" Feels like the logical next step after my videos.
>>35326559That sounds great. I hope you can encourage more people to get in to your modded community. Modding is a challenging but creative hobby. Lends easily to game dev too. I used to do a little modding, so toss me a line and I'll check it out.
>>35330099What's to say this won't lead to self improvement? Maybe you'll learn there's things about yourself that aren't so bad as well learn what needs work. You'll only figure it out by trying. Whether it works out or not, I think you deserve recognition for taking that first step. Self discovery is not easy.
