In their eyes they're the ones who manifests the abilities of their livers so naturally any of the liver's achievements aren't their own but the company's achievements by default. So for them it's only natural that the livers don't get keep their play buttons, nor let them pay for one themselves, as it's the company's achievement. Their livers are merely a means to an end for them and once they've outlived their usefulness they throw them into the trash pile like the disposable garbage they think they are.
It's pure megalomania.
