Most people actually only move as much as they need to (aka they don't utilize the full range of their own movement) and thus end up extremely stiff with possible complications with back pain or blood circulation as they grow older. Yoga helps you become aware of the full range of motion so you're not just walking around like a robot. It has tons of good benefits, but if you don't want to do it but still want to achieve the same results, you can go to the gym and do light weights on machines using as far a motion as your body can provide (i.e. bench presses using dumb bells allowing your elbows to go down as far as they can go, or the wire machines to twist your body from one side to the other as far as your waist can allow).
This is also why you sometimes see old or muscular people using foam rollers to roll around on their backs or side, as they're gently stretching out their muscles.
