i'm confused about her internet situation. she said recently that she doesn't have fiber going into her house and that they'd need to dig up her entire street or something to install it, and it's either a huge fee up front to a company that installs it or she'll have to wait for a year or two until the UK state does it for them (as a part of their plan to increase fiber coverage across the country). am i misremembering things? if so, this company will either tell her it's not possible, or they'll scam her and end it at the street and then she'll have the same copper wires going into her house like before, changing nothing.
