Anything that's placed with any actual effort into it will simply have to gamble with the factor their video will be overlooked or not.
The only feasible way to prevent this is if youtubers get actively involved in the community of whatever hobby that their channel is dedicated to, but many fail to do so and wonder why people aren't finding their channels.
