>>53562454No one relevant has blacklisted Pippa and actually big people want to collab with her but she refuses, Pippa is not holding back Phase Connect but she's not helping it either.
She supports her company but she's not being very goal minded lately, it's clear she's at a point where she would rather wing it and just do shit on a whim than actually take shit seriously and aim for growth for herself and the company.
She makes comfortable money and has a well sized audience so I guess she's happy there.
It really should be up to the rest of the girls to put their own work.
Stop expecting Pippa to be the ace that carries Phase Connect and just let her do her thing.
idol has been growing a lot by doing every single thing right, even down to smaller details.
A really neat thing all of idol have is that their models are basically barbie dolls, all the cloth and accessories are removable, they are naked underneath it. Which makes it easy for them to make up their own outfits and props.
idol also heavily advertises. They also paid big content creators to hold watchalongs of their debuts, basically massive extra exposure on debuts.
These things seem small but give them a lasting boost.
Rin has used the shorts meta and got massive results with it, this is up to her and not the company tho, Phase Connect has been making its members do shorts too and they have seen some boost from it too but nothing that big.
Phase Connect merch is mid tier, it has the basic vtuber merch everyone has and recently added some ugly stackable plushies.
It's not bad, but it's barely above the minimum.
I definitely think they should leverage the fact that it's not a fucking asian company and they can actually ship shit to america and monetize merch harder.
Some people have even made bootleg Pippa merch that is actually very nice and it has sold well.
Content wise Phase saw its biggest growth when Pippa engaged some male flesh normie content creators whose audiences are like a mix of epic 4chan interwebz boomers, weebs, and loosely right wingers, she trolled some, got dunked by others, simped for one of them and senpai actually noticed her.
She got many viewers from that along notoriety and word of mouth, because most vtubers are sanitized and fake as fuck, avoid any opinions that are divisive or not purely related to games, anime and other such escapism the 4chan bunny that is actually based and talks about real life shit stood out a lot.
But fishman pulled breaks on that whole shit. Hard to confidently say if it was good or bad, because it minimized risks but also gave up growth.
I think the bottom line is clear tho, small corpos have a hard time growing.
Either you tap into an extra audience like Pippa and Rin did tor each the 2k range, or you heavily market to have a 500 range like most of idol, or you sort of stagnate on the 200 range like most of Phase.
"Sad girl company", unhinged, based, is enough of an identity to make Phase stand in an otherwise crowded market of clones.
The worst you can be is generic, look at Prism or PixelLink. Even EIEN debuted strong with no marketing because it stood out as the lewd small corpo.
Playing it too safe does not give high reward, look at Kawaii, they have been in the market for so long and have been trying very hard and many still do 100 to 200 at best.
I do not envy fishman, he's in a tough spot between stagnation and risk, he can keep playing safe and see the company barely go anywhere or he can take a risk and hope for the best.
But there are just so many things that can go wrong it's not an easy choice.
Playing it safe is a comfortable cozy temptation, nothing can go wrong and decline will be slow, he can always tell himself success is around the corner.
Taking a risk means taking a responsibility, it means things might go wrong and it's your fault. There are infinite options you could take and trying to decide which to do is overwhelming.
Turning brain off and staying on course is just so much easier.
Personally I think they should accept the sad girls/chaotic/based aspect, not force it but enable it within reasonable boundaries, try to branch outside the main vtuber demographic, force Pippa to go to a good dentist, have some therapy to learn to cope with her insecurities and have a collab with Kson, Filian and Henya and even Asmongold, redo everyone's models to have a naked base and more heavily market gen 3 when it debuts and expand the range of their merch with proper plushies, dakis, random character specific stuff like what Hololive does, monetize Pippa's boat obsession too and even open a merch request maro so people can request stuff to see what to sell next.
Airi and Rie have a lot of interest in music, produce more shit from them but also make Pippa take singing lessons again.
Host cross company events just to add flavor using different games or gimmicks, like the summer shit Hololive has going. There should always be something going on or coming to keep Phase tending
