The card of the day is Nine of Swords.
This card shows a person in bed, clutching their face, possibly after waking up from a nightmare. The nine swords on the wall hang symbolically over their head, as if to represent worries and fears weighing on them.
The Nine of Swords generally stands for anxiety, worries, fears, depression and nightmares.
Not the most fun card, but it can also help reveal to us that we need to deal with these worries to be able to get out of this nightmare. It’s confronting us with the fact that we are suffering from our brain worms and we need to convince ourselves that they are just that, delusions that only hold power over us if we let them.
This is also a time of depression if you live in the Northern Hemisphere. The days are rapidly getting shorter and yesterday on my walk home it was pitch black outside. Remember that lack of sunshine means a lack of D Vitamins, which causes depression-like symptoms! Even a vampire like me has to take supplements to deal with it!
