The Engineer class gets a toolbelt in addition to the regular skills, spells, and weapon theme.
Shrine Maidens (also known as Office Ladies) do not get an Attack weapon but their skills directly modify the gamestate.
Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced is the clear inspiration but it also uses Valkyrie Profile and Fire Emblem elements.
If a Talent dies, the Consultant (your player character) gets a unique skill for that mission based on who it is that died and talents that are close to the victim become depressed.
You field 6 Talents and the Consultant (who is like the king in chess: very weak unless buffed by a death, and is expected to hang back under most circumstances.)
It's been a good exercise in translating concepts into a different design space.
