I usually only get to see my family once every year or two myself.
I don't think I could read the novels nowadays. I just read through them back when I had more free time for myself. They were fun though. I liked all the extra stuff for growing up (baby Rudy falling off a chair, etc) and the added relationships between Rudy and Eris's family before the teleportation happened.
