Bae speaks Cantonese, which has been officially banned by the PRC as a regional language. A substantial number of Cantonese speakers live outside of China in Chinatowns around the world, particularly in the United States. Yagoo probably picked her because she plays well to the Chinese community living in Japan. If she does get picked up in China it would probably be only around Guangzhou (Canton) depending on which dialect of Cantonese she speaks.
