There's an announcer lady called Chiaki Matsuzawa that Okayu really likes who happens to also stream video games, and for a year or two Okayu used to watch her in the evening and fall asleep while listening to her.
https://www.youtube.com/@matsuzawaneki/Some people say that it's possible to learn while sleeping, that announcer has a beautiful soft voice and is making sure to articulate properly so she wonders if she somehow inconsciously learned from her. She even remembers watching a commercial on TV (appearing in the middle of her Doraemon episode!) about a method for sleep learning.
Maybe if she listens to English while sleeping she'll end up learning English too, that would be nice...

>Neighborhood UncleA few days ago, her neighborhood uncle visited her and came all the way from Aomori with his girlfriend, she unfortunately couldn't spend that much time with them due to work and New Years preparation.
He was an Officer and a Ranger in the Japan Self-Defense Force and retired not that long ago from the military, so they ended up talking about what he did while he was there, what he's doing now, the things he wanted to do in the future, etc... Okayu is calling it his "Senior Plan". And he did the exact same thing last year too.
They talked a bit about baseball and he only watches major leagues. Okayu wouldn't mind getting a collab with Baystars (it's her favorite team).
Also he loves card games, he's a big fan of Seven Bridge in particular so she played with him.
He loved throwing incredibly lame dad jokes while playing and Okayu realized that she somehow ended up being very similar to him, what a terrifying realization...
>This year's KakizomeA Kakizome is a japanese New Year custom where you write your resolution for this year, supposedly to make it stick better with you thorough the year.
Last year, her Kakizome was "Nisshin Geppo" (日進月歩), which means "Steady Progress, Rapid Advance".
She feel like she did a great job sticking to it, she was able to actively participate in collabs with people she's not totally familiar with, and as a result ended up loving collabing with everyone even more.
Of course, she always loved everyone in Hololive, but she used to be very careful about the way she acted, talked, and presented herself to the others which was incredibly tiring.
She eventually learned to be truly herself and that it's okay to depends on others, and ended up loving spending time with them even more.
This year, she wrote "Tenteki Senseki" (点滴石穿) in hiragana because kanji too hard, which means "Constant dripping wears away the Stone".
Or in other words, "Limited strength, when persistently applied, can accomplish great feats".
>KoroneOkayu met Korone at the studio yesterday as she was preparing for Mikkorone.
Korone really wanted to join Mio's party but she was still a bit sick and didn't want to transmit her sickness to the others. Despite that and Korone's protests, Okayu still decided to give her a big big hug. She might get sick because of this but who cares, she had to do it.
She still made sure to wash her hands properly and even took a bath immediately once she arrived in Mio's house.

Mio even took the time to put bathbombs for her in the bathroom, the water went pink, it felt great and it even smelled like Caramel Popcorn! It was amazing, Okayu loved every second of it.
She also wore Mio's pyjamas too! Somehow, she thought that i going home while wearing Mio pyjama early in the morning with her own clothes in her hands because she thought she wouldn't run into anyone.
She tried to be stealthy the whole time and fortunately meet anyone all the way back home, it felt like a sneaking mission!
