If you meant it as "the thing I do during my free time" while you're not working or studying, then it's fine because you are also doing something for yourself that benefits you alongside watching vtubers, but if you're a NEET and it's the only thing you do, you can very much waste years of your life on this. I was a NEET for 3 years, during which my main hobby was watching vtubers. Today, I don't even follow them anymore, and that's time I'll never get back. It's like I ended up being 3 years mentally younger because while I was doing that, normalfags were out there getting work and life experience. Today I still watch vtubers, but I have a job, and have other hobbies as well, some of which I talk with my coworkers about, so at least I get the social benefit of having that to discuss with them. Another thing is that if you're a NEET for a while, you start feeling like an alien, totally disconected from people your age. I wouldn't call myself normal, but after I started working I saw how that was not the case, and that even though I often thought of myself as "odd" I still shared interests and was able to connect with others.
