It tells me how many people are engaged with what I'm doing. When it starts to climb to its normal average, that's my signal to stop chatting and start the main activity. When I notice drop offs, it tells me my content is not engaging and that's my signal to either switch what I'm doing, increase/decrease my energy, etc. When I'm nearing the end, if my viewers are leaving, I know to make my wrap up short and sweet. If my viewership is consistently at my average or higher, it lets me know I'm doing well and gives me a burst of adrenaline and motivation for next time.
