While it's still aesthetic to have trinkets and (especially) armour made of human body parts, having the chuubanite embedded onto one's skin would be more effective than simply wearing them (and having a permanent pattern allows more functions than simply eating chuubanite meat... although it might be useful in replenishing it), so some people would opt for that process as well. It'll be most useful when it comes to people who need a consistent buff that can't afford to fail (and can afford the procedure), or when they expect the possibility of being caught without them. Some of them might also be useful for individuals who have to travel light and (ironically) not show any /meat/ accessories on them.
