I'm not with my relatives for Christmas this year, but Gura was a much better alternative anyway. Got to spend most of the day with a good pal until he left right before her stream time, but that means I didn't see her twitter post until then. I was immediately happy for Gura, but quickly felt pretty sad and empty with my place suddenly quiet, nobody around, and no Gura stream. Even briefly wished I had made the trip to see family.
It took a little while, but I got happier and happier for Gura until that outweighed anything negative. She's absolutely earned a surprise Christmas visit from her family. After all the memories she shared yesterday, it's abundantly clear how special Christmas with her family is. The longer you ruminate on that, the more obvious it becomes that Gura spending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with her family is far more valuable than two streams. Even the loneliest chumbie can go to sleep smiling at the thought of this precious little sharkgirl gleefully spending time with her loving family on this holiest of nights.
