My 2 cents is that i dont think RPGs are a big barrier for her since most of the time her issue is a mechanical one, while a more traditional RPG doesnt have things she can mess up by panicking. Of course, if she doesnt read, then nothing will save her
Also the problem so many rpgs face is that at least 90% of them are slow and utterly mindbreaking unless you are in love with the genre, which is why people dip their toes in persona/final fantasy before going to shit like bravely default
