>>26785691But...that's exactly why I play games on harder difficulties, it makes the game last longer. If I'm enjoying a game I want to enjoy it for as long as possible and immerse myself in all of its mechanics. Like in a JRPG having to fight the same boss 3-4 times and grind slightly or craft new gear or try out different strategies is so satisfying compared to breezing through the entire thing with default gear. Becoming an adult has made me jaded and disillusioned and I miss that feeling of being rewarded for your effort. The amount of media we're constantly exposed to that provides instant gratification these days makes everything less pleasurable, you're just constantly overwhelmed with chasing the next momentary high.
