And if you don’t become an attention whore in Discord or chat, you’ll simply get pushed aside by newcomers who want the streamer’s attention (which they often get by swarming the chuuba in voice calls or in chat).

OGfags think they have a privileged position in chat, but they get pushed into the background as soon as new viewers (and oilers) arrive. Female chuuba they follow doesn’t really care that her original chatters are being replaced. This often leaves OGfags feeling bitter, as if they were just used for growth, and that the vtuber never really cared for them, despite making it seem like she did.
