>>19715447Despite what people say or even what the vtubers themselves say. Reading superchats for 2+ hours is incredibly tedious and boring. Ame did it at the start because the gig was new to her, she never recieved so many donations in her life and she was (and still is) super thankful. But after the first few months the realization hits that it's probably one of the worst things about the job. So obviously it started to get cut down in length, but even them being shorter it's still a pretty monotonous task to do. So she naturally goes off on tangents and gets distracted by the music during them.
This is the whole reason why 9/10 of Hololive vtubers read superchats at the end of the stream. It gets them out of the way. Talking with the fans and hanging out in a zatsudan fashion is what's enjoyable to do. But that's not necessarily the same as sitting down for hours reading the same thank you messages over and over - as a streamer that's the boring part.
