Liaschizo parodier here. Why do people ask why Henri Ikari just can’t move on, let go of Pipkin Pippa? Why does Henri still continues to reach out to her, even promising "a billion alts”? Because the fact is, Henri had become extremely attached to her, for in her he found a kindred spirit. In the terms of Carl Jung, Pipkin Pippa was the Persona, Henri Ikari was the Shadow. The fact was, THEY ARE THE SAME PERSON.
The persona is the mask we wear when we go out, socialize, or stream. The shadow is our dark side, the manifestation of our worst fears and desires. Everytime we go out, we have to put on our persona, and fear that the shadow will consume us. So why are Pippa and Henri so linked together?
>They are both autistic and menhera
>They both suffered bullying and depression
>They experienced loneliness
>And even with success (Henri’s high grades, Pippa’s high CCV) they just can’t accept it due to their extreme self-loathing and impostor syndrome.
So why is it that Henri became the archenemy, when she was Pippa’s most loyal friend?
Again, let us go back to Jung’s concept of the Shadow. When Pippa cried that she was being isolated, Henri went mad. Again the Jungian pattern shows itself again. Pippa tried to maintain her positive persona, but her real personality dominated and she cried. In reaction, the Shadow acted as well in the form of Henri: a violent form at that. He vowed revenge against Fishman for hurting his oshi, while promoting FlaVR, waging war not just on the Phase fandom, but on Phase itself.
And that was when Pippa personally banned him, She purged the Shadow. It only made him worse. Separated from Pippa he no longer had any identity. Thus, instead of humble Shinji Ikari, the Shadow took on the identity of the megalomaniac Claude Frollo, bent on making Pippa his once again, or let everything else burn to hell.
Henri is ultimately an extension of Pippa’s psyche.
