Otsonny!! Zelda this morning was fun, I'm glad he made time for one last stream before the big reveal. Well... it was off to a bit of a messy start, from him getting irritated at that new react feature in chat that suddenly appeared, to the chat overlay in OBS breaking and nearly potentially revealing bad shit when he tried to get rid of it, to sonny gold experience requiem'ing himself on-stream, truly the intro of all time. It was mostly smooth sailing once he got the game open though! It was a "shorter" stream today with a loose focus on more exploration; we left off by a stable shrine in akkala and the first thing he did was test his wind bomb skills after he'd spent so much time on the art previously... mastery is still a work in progress. He also finally found the akkala tech lab with its eccentric inhabitants, I knew this furnace quest would give him some trouble. After meeting robbie (who sonny has deemed thoroughly pathetic), jerrin, and their ancient oven, he ventured off to bring that blue flame back home. Instead of clearing the way in advance, lighting the lanterns was a somewhat sporadic thing, from bearing a torch traditionally and fighting moblins as he went along until he just started lighting spears ablaze and casting them like javelins to their destination. Very funny when the rain started coming down. He seemed to have made peace with bows for today, but refused to use revali's gale to ascend the cliffs on the trek back... I don't understand him. After much strife, though, he finally brought the fire back and restored functionality to this lab too. Olympic torchbearer strats on top. He got some cool stuff from the oven like a new set of drip, then he was on his way to that mysterious maze in the corner of the map. The labyrinth was a fun time, he got thoroughly lost in the place. I enjoyed his story of drawing with his sister as a child as he roamed the passages, and watching as he fought for his life to scale the walls when it started raining at inopportune moments. Ah, the true botw experience. It was fun watching him wander aimlessly and duel skywatchers on the roof, but what was really good though was when he finally reached the shrine at the end, and descended into the infamous lower level... he was smart to loot what he could (also finding the travel medallion) from the desolate basement until making his way back to the center and picking up the diamond circlet, which in turn woke up every "dead" guardian. I was waiting for him to panic and tp away like the rest of us did, but he just opened his inventory, enabled daruk's protection and parried every beam in the nick of time... kakkoii. With all his loot sorted, he set sail for hateno; he'd procured the great flameblade from the labyrinth meaning he had all three elemental blades, and those would look pretty good on the weapon mounts back at home, don't you think? Of course he took photos and selfies with them in his best outfit. Afterwards he did some good honest work in cutting wheat and went back to the kitchen, i do find his love for cooking in this game very endearing. Instead of googling recipes for min-maxxing effects he's more interested in just trying tons of shit out and seeing what dishes he can discover like a child, it's cute. The last couple hours of stream were filled with a lot of miscellaneous activities— finding memories (i wonder if he will go for the true ending after all), taking more pictures, fighting guardians and lynels, comparing his fans to bokoblins, normal stuff. He capped things off for today by heading back into the land of death mountain and earning his title of goron blood brother brother for a shrine quest in a climbing challenge that was pretty easy with some speed enhancers. Overall it was a fun stream! He was pretty cute today and a little bratty. I've done most of my screaming about noctyx outfits already so I don't have a ton to say, the reveal really was startling though. Hoping for outfits that are nice if not spectacularly interesting... I definitely think the stalker look with a hat and mask is best case scenario for sonny, but I guess we'll see what happens (PLEASE have toggles). I'm also really curious about what he might have prepared to go along with it. Ahhh I wish I could fast forward time, I'm so anxious about it all... honestly I kind of just wanna get it over with so we can get back to our regularly scheduled gaming KEK.
