Harry is a very tall man with dark hair, a trenchcoat and a cursed love life (partly because he wants to do everything by himself, which he comes to acknowledge as a bad habit). And eventually he gets a mildly-supernatural pet dog that he loves very much.
Not sure if it would be Nade's thing, but worth a shot? General advice is "the first two books are the weakest, if you liked them you'll love the rest".
