Yeah me too! World is fun in the big game kind of sense with the indigenous life and stuff like that, etc... But Rise+Sunbreak>World+Iceborne by far in gameplay. Wirebugs are far better than the clutch claw, and the different wirebug arts allow for so much fun gameplay, whereas clutch claw was a one trick pony that was mandatory to use for weakening, not fun at all.
For the older handheld games, I'd put 4U>Generations Ultimate>3U>Generations>Port 3rd>2U personally, even if I started with 2U. Tri was like the World of it's day, and I miss the underwater parts even if they weren't the greatest underwater combat because monsters like Lagiacrus are amazing and deserve another shot in the series, and because the only hub world was super cool, seeing so many other hunters on a Wii in the late 2000's. 4U is the best game though, perfect challenge, best form of the old gameplay, great monster roster, and a really good endgame.
Honestly would love to see Rosemi-sama play the series
as Rosemi obviously, though she's gonna end up playing world
