For Pony it knows early JPs and Kronii/Ina and Gura out of the box rest needs LoRAs.
Hypernetworks are pretty outdated now so not many use them anymore.
For the old LoRAs, currently they can't be used on XL but yesterday something called X-adapter just released which is supposed to allow all 1.5 CNs and LoRAs work on XL so we have to wait and see how feasible those will be once X-adapter gets implemented into comfy or Auto.
XL models are really good just has the catch of kinda beefy to run (min 8gb Vram) but other than that they are fairly easy to use from the get go.
