>>50793321Well, it sounds like you'll need to start organizing how you'll conk out your series (and trim out certain parts) to finish it within any realistic timeframe. You can split it up into 'books' (like 'book 1', 'book 2', 'book 3', etc) with a fixed wordcount (anywhere between 50 to 70k words) just so you can see the fruits of your progress faster. Releasing stuff more often gets you more (You)s, though make sure it's still quality writing, of course.
I don't suggest writing longer than what you have to for a day (the ol' rule of thumb is to do 1k words/day and stick to that - though that's up to you) since writing is tiring and can screw up the quality of what you put into text.
There's also the possibility that you're burned out of writing the series and need to write something else just to keep the juices flowing. You've mentioned writing smut, so maybe just do some short stories in the meantime until you find yourself in the groove to write your main thing again. Hell, you can even shelve that series altogether and just focus on those in the meantime to both practice your writing and boost your confidence. What matters is to just keep writing.
