You're not looking to make a thousand videos. You are looking to make the same video a thousand times.
The key is to find the formula for that video.
The rest is just finding the keywords attracting new viewers to your formula every time.
You might think this is a boring way of approaching it but this is how you get an initial foothold. I like using picrel as example (IRL). She just makes the same video over and over again, just with different good keywords. Notice how the views dip for the only bad choice of keywords she has made here. That's what you should look to do. After that, it's just a time game, because you are bound to get viewers this way, and more importantly, retain them.
