https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pABvTWSxOesOtherwise the main priority of sound "absorption" (which is NOT how it works, it's a treatment to eliminate echo and some low and high frequency noises) is to eliminate FLAT AND HARD surfaces by covering them up. Covering up 100% of your walls with sound foam is pointless, because there's going to be furniture in the way, so covering up the walls that are closest to you will fix about 90% of your room acoustics.
