There's merit to both being outspoken and reserved with opinions. Recent example is RIG cup being arenas instead of BR, I hope some of the participants sent in some feedback or other alternatives like rescheduling. To some it might be minor but other people or participants might find the swapped format really annoying since the meta and strategies involved are different.

On the otaku side of things, it's understandable because 2d is that escapism and they'd rather not hear scathing negative comments and fights between streamers/vtubers. Shit isn't ideal and if your oshii cracks, don't make a big deal of it and blow the situation out of proportion.
