probability distribution autism. These kinds of systems also handle power disparities fairly well, unlike simpler single-dice/double-dice systems, where modifiers are king. I'd recommend generality rather than simplicity.
Since this thread is primarily focused on building nationalities and cultures, I'd say that it is quite defining. You could even split it into multiple parts to allow people to have more leeway when designing cross-thread characters or to have several characters from the same culture not feel too similar.
